Job Description
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Manager, Financial Reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise accounting and payroll accounting. Review documents, analyze fact patterns and legal issues and give instructions for its translation into the bookkeeping framework. Research and analyze accounting and reporting issues within U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations. Examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports under the rules of U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards, particularly U.S. GAAS and SSARS. Prepare reconciliation reports from U.S. GAAP to IFRS and/or German GAAP and vice versa. Get to know client’s business, risks, and needs. Assist predominantly European headquartered clients to fulfill their specific group financial reporting requirements; generate awareness of U.S. income tax implications; prepare and file sales tax returns; assist with other filing requirements, e.g., U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) or U.S. Census Bureau. Register clients and their U.S. subsidiaries with applicable states for income taxes, payroll taxes, and doing business.
Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting or a closely related field. two years of experience in position offered or related, including two years of experience with: Conducting annual financial statement and consolidated financial statement audits for companies of various sizes and legal forms; Financial planning, liquidity management and cash management, including the preparation and monitoring of financial plans; Preparation of written statements on accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS; Monitoring the process of audit projects and conducting reviews as part of the quality control of audit reports; Reporting audit results to client’ supervisory bodies; and one year of experience with technical and administrative management and implementation of both financial audits and special projects. M-F, 40 hrs/wk, $170,331 per year.
